St. Thomas College of Arts and Science, Koyambedu, Chennai, celebrated its 24th Graduation Day on August 3, 2026, marking a significant milestone in the academic journey of its graduating students.
The graduation ceremony commenced with Mr. Biju Chacko, Secretary, St. Thomas College of Arts and Science, declaring the ceremony open. His Grace Gee Varghese Mar Philoxenos, Chairman of the College, presided over the function and presented the prestigious Endowment Prizes to the deserving students in recognition of their academic excellence and outstanding achievements.
The Chief Guest, Thiru J. C. D. Prabhakar, Hon’ble Speaker of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, delivered the Graduation Address and inspired the graduating students to embrace their future with confidence, responsibility and determination. He also distributed the degree certificates to the graduating students, marking the culmination of their academic journey at the institution.
The ceremony was attended by distinguished members of the college management and academic leadership, including Rev. Fr. T. F. Stalin, Vice Chairman; Mr. Alex Abraham, Treasurer; Dr. K. Florence, Principal; Dr. Shibi Mathai, Vice Principal & Chief-IQAC; Dr. Susan Abraham, Dean of Women Student Affairs; Dr. S. Naresh, Dean of Research; Dr. Rassul Jayapathy, Controller of Examinations; and Mr. E. Muruganandam, Shift II Coordinator.
The 24th Graduation Day was a memorable occasion celebrating the academic accomplishments, perseverance and achievements of the graduating students. The event also reflected the College's continued commitment to nurturing young graduates with knowledge, values, skills and a sense of social responsibility.
