As a Centre for Excellence, St. Thomas College of Arts and Science has established a dedicated Research and Development (R&D) Cell to foster a vibrant research culture and cultivate innovation among faculty and students. The R&D Cell aims to create a dynamic and supportive environment for research activities, with a focus on interdisciplinary collaboration, quality research output, and societal impact.

The Centre for Research at St. Thomas College of Arts and Science stands as a dynamic hub for academic inquiry, innovation, and knowledge creation across diverse disciplines. Established with the mission of fostering a strong research culture within the institution, the Centre provides an enabling environment for faculty members, research scholars, and students to explore, innovate, and contribute meaningfully to their fields of study.

  • To offer Research Programmes in par with international standards
  • To instill Research culture in the minds of the students in their undergraduate programme itself.
  • To foster and promote Research Integrity amongst the researchers.
  • To formulate the Research Policies and Regulations, from time to time, based on the needs, but in total compliance with associated regulatory bodies.

  •        To encourage obtaining patents that render both the organisation and the nation recognised.
