St. Thomas College joyfully celebrated Pongal, the harvest festival of Tamil Nadu, with great enthusiasm and cultural spirit on campus on 13th January 2026. The celebration reflected gratitude to nature, respect for farmers, and the rich traditions of Tamil culture.
The campus was beautifully adorned with kolams, festive decorations, and traditional Pongal pots, creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. Faculty members, staff, and students actively participated in the festivities, dressed in traditional attire, adding colour and charm to the occasion.
The programme highlighted the values of unity, gratitude, and cultural heritage, reminding everyone of the importance of living in harmony with nature and society. The celebrations provided students with an opportunity to experience and appreciate India’s cultural diversity beyond the classroom.
