Mr.E.Muruganandam

Mr. E. Muruganandam is an experienced academician and media professional serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Visual Communication at St. Thomas College of Arts & Science, Koyambedu, Chennai, since June 2004. With over two decades of dedicated teaching experience, he has made significant contributions to media education through innovative teaching, curriculum development, and student mentoring.

He holds a Master's Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication, a Master's Degree in Public Administration, and an M.Phil. in Public Administration. He has also qualified the State Eligibility Test (SET) in 2018 and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. at Andhra University, reflecting his commitment to continuous academic and professional growth.

Mr. Muruganandam possesses strong technical expertise with a Diploma in Printing Technology and an Advanced Diploma in Multimedia Graphics, enabling him to bridge theoretical concepts with practical applications in media and design. Before entering academia, he worked as a Multimedia Instructor, further enriching his industry-oriented teaching approach.

Throughout his academic career, he has been recognized with the Best Teacher Award on two occasions for excellence in both teaching and institutional service. He has consistently produced 100% pass results in subjects including Graphics and Animation, Television Production, Video Editing, Gaming and Game Design, Media Organization, Film Language, Communication Skills, and Communication Research Methods, demonstrating his effectiveness as an educator.

An active researcher and academic contributor, Mr. Muruganandam has presented papers at several national and international conferences on topics related to communication, media literacy, visual culture, and social issues. He has also contributed to academic publications by preparing study materials for the University of Madras and the RUSA Programme, and has published research in peer-reviewed journals, highlighting his interest in media studies and visual communication research.

With expertise in multimedia technologies, media production, graphic design, communication research, and visual storytelling, Mr. Muruganandam continues to inspire students by combining academic excellence with practical industry knowledge. His dedication to quality education, research, and student development makes him a valuable member of the Department of Visual Communication.
