Dr. M. V. Nagarajan

Dr. M.V.Nagarajan is an eminent academician and dedicated administrator with over 25 years of rich teaching and leadership experience in higher education. Currently serving as the Vice-Principal at St. Thomas College of Arts and Science, Chennai, he is highly regarded for his strategic curriculum planning, academic excellence, and student-centred leadership.

Under his dynamic leadership, the Shift-II of the college grew remarkably from 4 courses with 170 students and 6 staff members to 8 courses with 10 sections, 60 staff members, and over 1,870 students. This growth reflects his vision, dedication, and effective academic management.

A passionate educator, Dr M.V. Nagarajan has a PhD in Commerce (University of Madras, 2014), is UGC-NET qualified, and holds multiple postgraduate degrees, including M.Com., M.B.A. (Finance), M.Phil., and M.A. (Public Administration). He is a University of Madras–approved faculty for both UG and PG courses.

Dr M.V. Nagarajan has made significant contributions to academia through 24 textbooks authored for both UG and PG commerce programs, with over 99,000 copies sold and many titles recommended by universities across India. His publications, such as Financial Accounting, Income Tax (Combined Edition), and Management Accounting, are highly acclaimed among commerce students and educators.

An accomplished academic leader, he has guided over 220 postgraduate dissertations (including 203 MBA and 17 M.Com. projects) and is a recognised research guide under the University of Madras. His mentorship extends to M.Phil. and PhD scholars, emphasising academic rigour and professional growth.
