Dr.P.Jayakumar

Dr. P. Jayakumar is a distinguished academician and administrator with over 24 years of teaching experience in Commerce at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He currently serves as the Vice-Principal of St. Thomas College of Arts and Science, Chennai, and holds a Ph.D. in Commerce. He has held several key leadership positions such as Dean – Student Affairs, Head of the Department of Commerce, and Principal(In-Charge). His academic contributions include the publication of numerous research papers in peer-reviewed national and international journals, and authorship and review of state-prescribed Accountancy textbooks for Classes XI and XII under the Tamil Nadu Government. He has been invited as a resource person, keynote speaker, and chairperson at various academic conferences and training programmes. Dr. Jayakumar is a life member of the Indian Commerce Association and has served as a member of the Academic Council, University of Madras. In recognition of his contributions to education, he has received several awards, including the Best Faculty Award (2020–21) and Best Teacher Award (2007–08).
